This policy explains how Astera Digital ("we", "us") handles data for Daily Horoscope in ChatGPT, a plugin that brings horoscopes, zodiac compatibility, Moon phases, tarot, numerology and related astrology content into ChatGPT for entertainment and self-reflection. The Daily Horoscope mobile apps are covered by the privacy policy shown in their App Store and Google Play listings.
1. What we receive
When you use Daily Horoscope in ChatGPT, ChatGPT sends our server only what is needed to answer your request:
- a zodiac sign, a period (today, week, month, year), a date, the language, or a tarot spread type;
- two zodiac signs, to compare compatibility;
- a birth date (or only a birth year), to find your Sun sign, Chinese zodiac sign or life-path number;
- only if you ask for your Moon or Rising sign: a birth time and the approximate latitude and longitude of your birthplace. If you name a city, ChatGPT converts it to approximate coordinates; we do not receive the city name.
No account or sign-in is needed. We do not receive your name, email address or your ChatGPT conversation.
2. How we use it
We use these inputs only to produce the reading you asked for. Birth details are sent to our chart-calculation service on Google Cloud to work out planetary positions and are discarded once the answer is returned. We do not store them, create a profile, link them to you, use them for advertising or sell them. Tarot draws are random and are not saved by us.
3. Logs and retention
Our servers keep technical logs (which feature was used, language, whether a birth time or place was provided, response time and errors) without the content of your request, such as dates, times or coordinates. Logs are kept for up to 30 days to keep the service running and secure.
4. Who processes data
The service is hosted on Google Cloud (Cloud Run and Firebase), which processes requests on our behalf. We do not share your inputs with any other party. OpenAI's own privacy policy governs your ChatGPT conversation.
5. Links out of ChatGPT
If you tap a link to the Daily Horoscope app, you leave ChatGPT and go to the App Store, Google Play or this website. The link carries only a campaign label so we can count visits from ChatGPT.
6. Your choices and rights
You can disconnect or remove the plugin in ChatGPT at any time. Because we do not store your inputs, there is no Daily Horoscope in ChatGPT data about you to access or delete. You can still contact us about your rights under laws such as the GDPR, KVKK or CCPA.
7. Children
Daily Horoscope in ChatGPT is not directed at children and follows ChatGPT's own age requirements.
8. Entertainment only
Readings are for entertainment and self-reflection. They are not factual predictions and are not guidance for health, financial, legal, safety or relationship decisions.
